    Purging The Evap System

How do I do it? Where is the canister? What do I have to gain from doing this?

I figure its time. The car is a dinosaur, and I don't know when it was last done. Does anyone know of any write ups for doing this?

    Left rear wheel well.

Have a technical question, don't send me a PM but post it on the board so others can benefit from it!

Doesn't it purge itself while the engine is running? I thought that was how it worked.

Yes, it does, and quite often as well. On some cars you can hear the valve clicking away (it is on the RHS as you face the engine, in front of the oil canister).

Ditto...I thought I saw a forum member post a pic the other day with an arrow pointing at it...asking why was this thing making a "ticking" noise.
