So between school, no job, and no money, I am seriously debating on selling my 6er that I swore I would take to the grave with me. It is a 1982 635csi Euro. It is a 5-speed that was rebuilt at approx 185,000 miles. It has been my daily driver since the rebuild and has 5,000 miles put on it. Im trying to figure out what it might be worth. I know that 6er's can go from $1,000-$20,000 and im trying to see what i could get.
-Has Bilstein sport shocks with H&R sport springs.
-H&R 25mm wheel spacers on the back and 20mm on the front.
-MZ3 short shifter
-upgraded diff. From 3.07 to 3.46
-17in BBS rims
-All windows and sunroof work
Let me know what yall think. Thanks

Don't sell you will regret it. Car looks great!
dont sell. that car its sick.
tryn to get back in the game
You will not get what you hope for. The car looks great but nobody wants to pay what we expect our cars are worth. You could come to Sharkfest with it and put a 4 sale sign on. That would be your best audience w/ Vintage going on too.

Thanks for the compliments. I figured I would get less than what it is worth but it's always nice to know what I could get at this moment. I'll have to go to sharkfest for sure an see what people think.
Trade for a '95 525i/5 w/153K and keep the wheels? Better on gas, better rustproofing, more practical!

I appreciate the trade offer but I'm not looking for a 5 series (unless it's an m5, ha). I'm sure you have a very nice beemer tho.
I ended up not selling. I decided I was going to be buried in my shark when I died. It would be an AWESOME casket. haha.
Actually though, My shark was toatled, I got t-boned by a jeep patriot. I ended up getting $9k for the car. They would have given me more but I didnt want to deal with their insurance any longer.

What did the Insurance company use to value the car?
Did you have collectors insurance!

They tried to use American 633i's and one American 635i. I respectevly laughed in their face and sent them specs and pics of the only ones for sale in the world. "Grey market car" All of the ones for sale were $13k+. It was a battle that I was not going to loose. Ended up getting $9k for my baby(I paid $1500 when I bought it). They also paid for all medical bills. Toatal of around $15k.

Really glad that you seem to have walked away from this, hopefully with no significant injuries.
Sad as it is, it's also good to see that German steel holding up and keeping you safe after 30+ years.
Going shopping for another E24 any time soon?
Cheers.

Generally considered bad when the suspension stuff is seeing sunlight.
Glad you're OK!
