    1989 Ford Probe GT

Interesting, I had a '89 Probe GT too, and now have an E36 myself. Here's my list...

1966 Dodge Dart sedan - my first car, in 1996. Still have it. Slant six powered.

1986 Mercury Capri - a $100 V6 powered derelict that some friends and I were going to put a 5.0 in. It had so many electrical problems we gave up.

1989 Chrysler LeBaron Turbo - rusty $900 beater I bought to take to college in Ohio.

1998 Isuzu Amigo - a bright orange soft top version.

1989 Ford Probe GT - Bought it for the Grassroots Motorsports $2004 Challenge. Also ran it in the G/Stock class in local autocrosses. Just a stock car on some R-compound tires, but quite well balanced for a FWD car.

1979 Triumph Spitfire - Should have checked the wiring harness more carefully; it caught fire the first time I turned on the headlights. Eventually decided to sell it as an incomplete project and cut my losses.

2000 Ford Focus - These may have a bad reputation, but I put about 40,000 miles on it without it giving me much trouble or needing any high dollar repairs.

1986 Chevrolet Corvette - I still miss this one, but a Corvette with nearly 200,000 miles and a 40 mile commute (each way) don't mix.

1995 Honda Civic - Looked like a clean, original, low mileage car. Turned out to be a worse money pit than the Corvette. Go figure.

1985 Dodge Ram 50 - Got this from a friend for free in "as is, where is" condition. Which was on the side of the road, a ball joint broken, the front wheel sticking out at a crazy angle. Total junker, but I wasn't going to turn down a free truck.

1997 BMW 328ic - Got an advance check for a book and decided it was time to buy something more reliable than the Civic.

1990 Chevrolet Suburban - a 3/4 ton model with a big block. Decided I wanted a truck that actually ran more than half the time, and could tow stuff.

New member here and about to put my BMW on the road tommorrow. I have owned quite a few cars in the past and i have only been driving for less then 10 years ill go in order of owning.

1985 Audi Coupe GT: Never made it to the road had fuel injector and fuel line issues badly.

1987.5 Audi Coupe GT: Commemerative version with the high compresion 2.3L 5cycl god was that engine bullet proof drove for a year with a blown head gasket that would get flooded by collant and stall. So i drove it with no coolant at all, when parked after a 20 mile drive to work u could hear the oil sizzle. Took it off the road even though it still ran.i

1977 Ford F-250: Wooden Stake bed with aluminum bed frame, 400 small block. 3/4ton dana 60 axels. Still runs with 300K miles on it but gets about 7 miles per gallon and the thing is just a beast. Still have it parked at my dads house costs to much to drive 7 mpg.

1984 Jeep Cherokee 2.8L: got it for $185 with a broken windsheild, ended up breaking the transmission 2 weeks later, lost the top gear and reverse on it. Made for interesting parking situations had to drive off a steepish cliff as someone ended up blocking me in.

1983 BMW 323e: Great car though electrical gremlins had to replace the ECU and the mass airflow sensor on it. Stole the ECU from a junkyard as the employees claimed that year never had a ECU, they wont miss what they dont know they have.

1990 Chevy S-10: Sold it for more than i got it for originally.

1992 Ford Tempo: Bask in the velor interior, Had bad tire wobble at slow speeds, after selling i realized the rims are a different lug patter then the old Audi causing the wobble. Sold it for what i bought it for after 3 months.

2 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse's: Bought em together as one had a blwn motor and the others transmission would only go in reverse(Drove it home backwards after i bought it. Swaped em and ended up throwing a rod on the engine in 2 days, biggest waste of money ever.

1990 Nissan 240sx: Bought for 500 with a busted exhaust and windshield had em repaired. Lasted about a year till my step-brother took it sideways into a tree. I still drove it for 2 months till i had it scrapped frame was completely bent.

1985 Nissan 200sx: 3.0L V6 from a ZX also RWD was a great car got it for 400 from a junkyard and only reason it didnt run was the airfilter box was filled with a rat's nest. Engine caught on fire from fuel leaking from the fuel pressure regulator and spark arcing through bad wires. dragged it home with the 1977 F250.

1983 Honda 900F SS: Great bike had a shit ton of miles for a motorcycle 100K miles. Flipped it and bent everything infront of the engine.

1989 VW Cabriolet: Black on Black on Black wolfsburg edition. Though the transmission in it was from a GTI and the engine wasnt so the gearing to horse power was very bad great milage but slower then death on the highway. Sold it and the buyer ended up crashing it 3 months later.

1999 Audi A4: Still own needs some work done to it to get it to pass inspection that i have put off over the years. Have owned this the longest except for the Ford, but have had it on the road longer.

1995 525i: About to put this one on the road to give the Audi a break while i do the repairs on it and still have the ability to go to work.

My old brain will have a problem with this list, but here goes:

1948 Ford sedan. Beach Car, not street legal, exhaust fell off just past the headers.
    1966 Chevy Nova. Loved it
    197x Celica.
197x Ford Pinto. GF's car, worst piece of shit I ever drove.
197x Triumph TR6. Spent more time fixing it than driving.
1976? Olds Omega. Great deal on a meh car.
198x Buick Regal. No, not a GN.
1984 Toyota Pick Up. Most reliable vehicle I have ever owned.
    1992 Chevy S10 Blazer. 1st new car.
1993 Chevy Lumina. For the missus. 2nd & last brand new car.
1990 BMW 535. The start of the disease.
1992 BMW 525. For the missus.
    200x Isuzu pick up.
    2008 Toyota Tacoma. My DD.
    2007 BMW 328. Current car.
Next car? Wife wants an i8. Not going to get it.

True but the list of cars you guys have had in the past is pretty amazing. My first was a 1993 Ford Escort station wagon with the 1.9l SOHC four speed auto. Great little wagon though. That's it. And now I have these two plus another one (1992 E36 325i five speed) that I'll be selling it.

    Im 30 years old now.
Starting driving at age of 17.
1986 Chevrolet Duelly Ext Cab. Like a rock. Drove it for a few months then, traded it for.....
1985 Chevrolet Camaro I-ROCZ. Talk about a terrible first car. Should have died in this car, but life goes on, and Bondo helps. Drove it for 3 years, then started trying to restore it, then gave up. Money...
1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass - looks like the malibu. This is where I learned a TON about cars. Sold it to a family friend for 300 bux with 270k miles on it/original motor and trans.
    1997 BMW 528i -- my baby.
