Ted this is example of unlimited budget!

Spyros(shop owner) is a good guy very knowledgeable. Been talking with him for months about building a full billet manifold.

man Im sorry, but that doesnt come close to the build Ted posted. Not even on the same plane of existence. Seriously, that Billet titanium Evo motor in the OP's thread is like Kianu Reve's alien technology space craft in "the day the earth stood still" versus Earth's technology depicted in that film. Just, not even close.

really, Your talking F1 future technology to be released in 2015 Versus that 4g motor in those pictures you posted.

The Evo build really is on the same plane as F1 engine technology... Just freekin insane.

These guys don't have the hardcore drag scene like we have in the U.S., so they're more constructors than racers, but they have a few videos of testing runs.

Here's the 1200hp Escort Cosworth in the shop:

And the 1200hp Escort Cosworth on the street (in Greece):

The 1500hp EVO in the shop with flaming methanol:

The EVO making a 'low boost' (35psi) shakedown pass:

The Subaru making a shakedown pass. It runs 8 sec ETs and makes 1070whp with only 31psi:

Like kenney already asked, how they getting these things to idle on such large injectors, it can't be strictly rpm

    One word MONEY.

    One more word ENGINEERING.

I believe the 9000cc injectors are for the 2000hp project, so I'm uncertain as to what they're running now, although in other car/engine photos I am seeing two sets of injectors.

Well being that I´ll will be working on future F1 engines within the next 12months and am already working on the design specs of a turbocharged F1 1.6 engine I can say that the F1 specs are totally different to such a unlimited budget scenario.

    Main examples

    fuel carriage limit per race
pump gasoline (clean) , maybe a tiny chance of E85 use, unlikely though.
    1.6 4cyl

The F1 engine will require rpms to stay away from excessive cylinder pressures to stay away from knock due to fuel octane. I´d say that the WOT AFR is going to be about 12.5-13.0 to save on fuel.

What Ted has posted is a great example of unlimited budgets capabilities and more importantly unregulated.
With great challenges comes great engineering.

That's what Honda found in the late '80s. A friend just sent me an SAE paper by Honda with regard to BSFC during the turbo F1 era. Let me know if you want to see it.

Yep, this is regulated only by imagination and money. It simply borrows (expensive) F1 engine technology to overcome conventional limitations.

yeah, I was just using F1 as an example of pinnacle of technology.

Well the first thing you have to do is just look at it. Then tell other people to just look at. It looks good.

I remember a drag turbo-integra motor build that was similar to this extent. It was a cnc machined 4.6L I-4 block based off a B18 engine. Everything was cnc'd from a single piece of billet and the car was RWD. Had 2 massive turbos and was supposedly capable of 3000hp and was subsequently banned from all import racing or something. Anyone remember that one?
