Yup, I guess this counts as build 4.
1 purchase not running, get it running with bunch of new parts.
2 re use/re seal head gasket
    3 new block/new head gasket/ARP2000's
    4 forged pistons/stock head gasket/ARP2000's

Yup, it's crooked on the lift. I bent one of the arms with my fork lift while getting ride of a scrap BMW.

Roman, you're getting it? I totally told Jay to hold off. I'm going to have this thing on the road in two weeks!! Race ya.

Jon, I should probably listen to Cam: Put another stock block in; race gas; no wastegate. Videos.

Sucks about the lift arm, good luck with the build, you seem to work super quick.

A little bit of piston melt-ageingness.

There was some scoring on the cylinder walls and ring land damage. Some of the rings in a couple pistons were also melted. Ready for the machine shop. Wisecos should be her by end of week, via Maximumpsi.

Jay stopped by for support, guidance, mentoring, lending of hand, etc etc.. Then we went out looking for trouble.

Damn - kind of what I suspected. Jay described the condish and I thought ringlands - but what sucks is that it was @ 12 psi or so with safe timing and AFRs according to all data.

Might want to get the injectors flowed and calibrate the wideband!

flowing the injectors would be a good idea..

hope i'm not stealing bobs thunder, but he ordered up a VEMS wideband / egt unit tonight.. this will help cross check his autronic wideband and add egt to the mix.

this build is going to be solid!

too bad we drove all the way down to philly (logan circle) and back and found nobody that wanted to make pulls. oh well.. we did play around with the traction control a bit and tried making some launches with & without.. pretty crazy how different it is!

Does New Sweden have that technology? (flow the injectors)

Maybe my fuel pump is not up to snuff? I figure that would be seen in the AFRs though, right?

I'm down for whatever, within reason. This car needs to run right for once.

    We has the technology.

We can just put the fuel rail over some cupz and crank with the FP jumpered and constant voltage source. Pull the logs during cranking and see the PW, and determine Duty Cycle, and thus flow rate. Or, simply compare one injector to the next while cranking.

I think you definitely want to confirm the timing and fuel before putting the new motor in fo' sho'.
