Yeah, took my time and worked on it all day.
Probably next weekend I'll be putting snow tires onto a set of 15" bottle caps I picked up, replace the center support bearing, do a complete fluid service, microfilter, new pads, rotors, and brake hoses all around, and new parking brake shoes and hardware.
I bought the car for 1400 and I've got about that much into parts on fixing/improving things here and there. When I'm done with the next batch of work I'll be confident that it's ready to start hitting track days in the spring. Overall it's been a good buy that I'm enjoying as my first (probably of many) bmw.
I've found that most of the things that people seem to dread or find difficulty with have been the easiest things for me, whereas it has been the simple shit that fights me. RTABs only took about 30 minutes from the time I rolled the jack under the car until it was wheels down again.

Painted my hood flat black with Rust-Oleum paint. I know it's cheesy and WAY over played, but much easier that trying to match factory paint.
Just wrapped my headliner and A, C pillars in suede. Finally no more sagging headliner.

Swapped out the old 5 watt lamps in my depos for some clean LED day time running much better.
Primmed and fixed the broken wires in trunk area whiched fixed my tag light problem ive been looking around for 2yrs
Replaced my mid HK door speaker. Finally I can listen to music loud without that speaker cutting out. Next is gonna be driveshaft center support and guibo. I have a nasty vibration in 1st and 2nd under hard acceleration.
I broke it.
Nasty clunking/grating noise from the front right corner of the rear subframe when accelerating, decelerating or going over bumpy road.
Combined with how many other little things are going wrong with this car I think I'm gonna put her down. It's been one thing after another. Didn't even make it past the 30 day temp registration.
On the bright side, the engine and transmission are solid, and I've got the donor parts for an auto to manual swap, which opens up a lot more options when I start shopping for a new one.
Installed my new steering wheel.
F15E90E36
finally installed eibach pro-kit springs and Koni Str.t kit
Also installed eibach front and rear swaybars
and OH MY GOD
now my car handles
and it's very comfortable also I adore this setup
I might even have like a stiffer springs they are soft but the ride is excellent
I didn't drop 3cm like I was expecting it only dropped about 1.5 cm
but I'm expecting it to settle a bit
Installed tckline sa coilovers and m3 front sway bar.

Pulled the engine and transmission out. It was a lot of work but really not as bad as I expected. Significantly less cursing involved than pulling an engine out of some other cars.
Gonna drop the rear end later this week. Then start posting everything for sale.

Put the wood trim from the M3 in the 328i. Although it's not some cool Individual type of the woods available, it beats the black plastic. I prefer the contrast between the black plastic trim/window switches and the console.
Recoded the cluster of the 328i so it now uses the M3 values for coolant temp curve. (less buffered, earlier to red zone).
