I went to the bmw stealership to order the self locking nuts for the flex disc. They said, after looking at their diagram, that i only need 6 for both parts. I have read, however, that I actually need 12 self locking nuts. Here is a link for the DIY which says that I do need 12...Any ideas?
PS. On the diagram there really was only 6 bolts...

COSTS:
The BMW stealer wanted $110 for the flex disk and $88 for the center support bearing. I paid $39.95 and $32.00 respectively for the parts from BMA. I also needed to order 6 new self-locking nuts for the driveshaft and 6 self-locking nuts for the flex disk; I ordered them from the stealer for a cost of $8.00.
I reused mine. Twice. No issues to report.
First time when I did the guibo and the second time when I did the center support bearing and clutch.
I reused mine when I did the flex disc, no problems.

reusing wasnt really an option for me
Haha are you serious, you had to have cut that up... seriously...
i have guibo in front, cv in the rear.
replaced the nuts on the guibo.
Holy crap XR000mb, that is the worst I have ever seen. Did you have a slight vibration?
only when shifting. i learned how to shift to the point i coulldnt feel it. on the highway and everything it was fine though. but you take off from a light and shift it past 5k rmp. its like WAAP every shift. but im doing my clutch now and just bought a lamforder flex disc good quality
I'm fearing its more than the flex disc and/or bearing. It knocks really hard until about 15 or 20 miles an hour and then it stops, Doesnt really knock on the shifts....Yeah turns and up hills are painful too...might it be the gearbox?
