Someone makes a completely stealth touring sub enclosure that fits behind a panel back there. Search and you will be blessed with a plethora of pictures and info.

You HAVE to upgrade that stock sub. That thing is a little 4.5" nokia woofer in a ported plastic box. It REALLY sux.

BSW makes the nice stealth sub for the touring.

    Here is the BSW sub:

As you can see, the sub sits behind and blows directly into the carpeted and insulated compartment cover. I ported the cover to allow the bass to rock a bit cleaner/better.http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...7&postcount=72

I love it. Its perfect for my needs and was an easy DIY install. I listen to a very wide range of music, and it seems to handle it all very very well.

I doubt a true "bass head" would be satisfied, though. If you want to pull up to a red light and vibrate the cars next to you, forget about it. If you want nice, clean and tight bass reproduction at moderate volume levels, then go for it.

Not sure if the T has a rear armrest but this is what I put into my e39 sedan. It is intended for the folks that don't need to feel their bass or are on a budget (<$200 installed). 30 minutes to install. Takes up minimal space and is removeable too. Works good enough for me.
