M10 sidedraft Solex 40 PHH dual twin-choke carburettors

What do you guys think about the M10 sidedraft Solex 40 PHH dual twin-choke carburettors on my 1075 bmw 2002? with a 292 Degree cam and M10 performance pistons?

Will the dual carbs help me gain more HP? More than the weber?

The 40 PHH Solex's were OE for the 2002ti and from what ive heard are actually a pretty good carb. Weber is another option used on some of the higher spec Alpina cars.

That cam with these carbs should go well together. A 300 or 304 is said to be the best match though but a 292 should make it more driveable around town.

is the 02 going to be a DD? i will go with dual carbs if you are trying to spend some money

the carb that you posted on the ebay link yes it will work but with a bmw manifold 2 barrels are better than one... so it supposed to work better

like i said if you are trying to spend some money go with 2 webers 304 cam headers with some other mods

A single side draft lynx manifold for a 2002 will run you some big dollars. You'd be better off going with the twin side drafts.
